Hi I’m Mark Sillett and have been working with Sussex Bootcamps since January 2009.
I spent my first 20 years in Barry, South Wales and living very close to the beaches and sea resulted in a very active outdoor lifestyle with ‘sport’ rather then ‘homework’ dominating my formative years. Despite my father being a professional footballer, I chose rugby at school and was proud to play for Wales at both rugby and cricket when I was 15. Unfortunately a bad wrist injury limited any further real progression and left me no alternative other than studying, which basically saved any academic blushes.
Following a successful career in logistics and general management I decided to get out of the ‘rat race’ in 2005 and follow my real passion. I therefore retrained to become a personal trainer and sports coach in order to help both individuals and teams improve their performance and quality of life. Following initial qualification I have expanded, extended and updated my skills through numerous training courses which enable me to help a wider range of individuals. I now work with individuals, groups and teams and have recently started to tutor future fitness professionals at a local college.
I believe that the outdoor, group training philosophy that Sussex Bootcamps employs is a fantastic way for individuals to improve their lifestyle and wellbeing with all individuals enjoying the bonding, support, motivation and atmosphere that the group generates. Great results are achieved by all with many being outstanding and for most it is the start of a ‘new way of life’
Outside of work I am married with 3 children and help my wife run a Bed and Breakfast in Horsham.
